02 Fitness will before long have a third Triad area.

The upscale wellness place chain will open a 30,000-square-foot area at the New Market Square mall at 2779 S. Church St., across the road from Holly Mill Mall and Business Center in Burlington. The wellness office will be on the site of a previous TJMaxx, close to a Harris Teeter grocery store.

Doug Warf, leader of MDO Holdings, which claims 02 Fitness, said a January opening date is focused on. Trisect Commercial of Greensboro, which dealt with the ground-up improvement of the chain's High Point office, is the overall project worker.
Situated in Raleigh, 02 Fitness entered the Triad market in 2019 with a 27,000-square-foot new office on the previous site of Tex and Shirley's Family Restaurant at Friendly Center in Greensboro. The chain opened a second Triad area this late spring at The Palladium in High Point.

The Burlington site is on the city's most active business passageway. Development on another Publix general store is in progress on the site of a previous Sears at Holly Hill. A Planet Fitness area is under development close to Academy Sports + Outdoors, only two or three hundred yards toward the south on Church.
